Inlay & Onlay Restorations
Like a dental fillings, inlays fit within the cusp of a tooth, but they are larger than a standard dental filling.
Dental onlays are similar to dental inlays, but they cover a larger portion of the tooth – extending beyond the cusp.
While dental fillings are applied, hardened, shaped and polished directly in your mouth, inlays and onlays are considered indirect restorations because they are pre-made outside of your mouth with our CEREC machine, and the bonded to the tooth.
What is CEREC?
We use CEREC technology to create dental inlays and onlays at our Mississauga dental clinic. CEREC allows our dentists to design and build ceramic dental restorations in one visit to our office.
