What To Expect During Your First Visit
Find out what to expect during your first visit with us by reading through the steps below.
Step 1
Upon Arrival
Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first appointment. You'll wait for your appointment in our reception area, where you'll find plenty of reading materials and comfortable chairs. To simplify your first visit, please fill out our New Patient Form online* before you arrive.
*IMPORTANT: Any form submitted by email must be encrypted, to ensure it is secure. By submitting an unencrypted email form, you are consenting to an unsecured email. Alternatively, please print off the form, complete it, and bring it to our office.
Step 2
Comprehensive Exam
Your first appointment will take about 60 minutes. You and your dentist will start by discussing your medical history and oral health needs. Your dentist will then complete a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite and jaws. This exam will include a series of dental x-rays and photos, and an oral cancer screening.
Step 3
Treatment Plan
Based on your medical history and exam, your dentist will develop a comprehensive dental treatment plan for you, with hygiene and ongoing preventive care as the primary focus. Throughout your appointment, please feel free to ask your dentist or hygienist any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.
